Prevention Is the Best Medicine
With all the remarkable advances in dental medicine, we want to maintain your natural teeth. With this in mind, our main goal for all our dental patients is the protection and preservation of your natural smile. We perform in-office hygiene and make recommendations for your at-home routine. We also identify and monitor common dental problems and growing threats to your smile to plan for future dental treatments.
Call on Dr. Zilka DDS to give you the help you need, and relief from the probable tooth pain your dental emergency is causing. There are many causes for dental emergencies, such as a infections, abscess or cracked tooth. Dental trauma due to an accident can result in extreme oral pain and infection. The soft tissues of the oral cavity can be involved as well with cuts and scrapes.
We would usually prefer to preserve our own teeth, of course, but sometimes that is not the best option for your dental health, and extraction is necessary. Decaying teeth should be extracted, and replaced with dentures, to optimize your dental health. Dr. Zilka, can assist you with your choice for full or partial dentures. You can be smiling with confidence in no time at all!
You and Dr. Zilka may determine that you need a tooth extraction for any number of reasons. Some teeth are extracted because they are severely decayed; others may have advanced periodontal disease, or have broken in a way that cannot be repaired. Other teeth may need removal because they are poorly positioned in the mouth (such as impacted teeth), or in preparation for orthodontic treatment.
